Church
The Evangelical Brotherhood Church was registered with the Government of Papua New Guinea under the mother church – Swiss Evangelical Brotherhood Mission (SEBM), on the 05th of April 1974. Our churches were established throughout PNG.
We have 20 Circuits (main centres) along with sub centres.
Church Establishment
Our Church has been established from the very humble beginning by the first Missionaries from Switzerland and Germany here in Papua New, purposely to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the country fulfilling the great commission by the Lord Jesus Christ from Matthew 28:18–20. Jesus drew near and said to them, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Go, then, to all peoples everywhere and make them my disciples, baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teach them to obey everything I have commanded you. And I will be with you always, to the end of the age.”
This great commission has been fulfilled by evangelizing to people by promoting evangelistic campaigns to bring people from darkness to light in the spiritual unity as one in the body of Christ and furthering the growth of Christians towards spiritual maturity by preaching the word of God.
Furthermore, the growth of our Church in other parts of PNG is through mobilization within the body of Christ for mission work, sending out local missionaries to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ bringing lost souls to the light having united in the Body of Christ.
Church Focus
Our focus today at this very end times is to mainly reach out and evangelize to the people in very remote parts of PNG because people are dying without evangelization. The Lord had shown us the this great opportunity for the Church to rise up for this last hour of harvest. We read in Matthew 9:36–37, When he saw the crowds, he felt sorry for them. They were troubled and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is large, but the workers are few”.
